Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoFirst Assistant District Attorney Sam C. Moss reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Jerry Michael Poling pled guilty to the felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 28 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Poling pled no contest to the felony offense of Indecency with a Child and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Antonio Martinez, Jr., on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was adjudicated and sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Martinez pled guilty to the felony offense of Assault Family Violence Occlusion and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Tommy Kinsey pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Thomas Loyed  Carroll pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Stetson Decody Chesser, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, was revoked and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jeffrey Rian Lemons, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William West Johnson II pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Melvin Lee Lewis pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Delivery of a Dangerous Drug and was sentenced to 14 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
