TTAB State Tournaments Begin Monday

TTAB_logoState tournaments are set to begin Monday across Texas for Texas Teenage Baseball Association teams.

Two state tournaments will be hosted in Brown County this year.  Brownwood will play host to the 8U Boys Machine Pitch tournament with home teams the Brownwood Giants and Brownwood Cardinals.   Games will be played at the Bert V. Massey II Sports Complex with the first games starting at 6 PM Monday.   The Brownwood Giants are set to face the Rusk Rangers at 6 PM while the Brownwood Cardinals will play Whitney Auten at 8 PM Monday.  Fifteen teams will be playing in the machine pitch tournament with the championship game set for Thursday night.

Early will host the 8U Player Pitch state tournament this year including host team the Early Red Sox at the Early City Park fields.  Games will also begin Monday night at 6 PM with a first round bye for the Red Sox.   Six teams will participate in the tournament with the championship game also scheduled for Thursday night.

In other tournaments involving Brown County Teams, the TTAB 9U state tournament will be held in Eastland starting Monday and will feature 12 teams including the Bangs Indians and Bangs Rangers.

Brownwood Royals will participate in the TTAB 12U Open Base state tournament in Ennis this week.

The Brownwood Athletics and Brownwood Mustangs will participate in the 14U state tournament in Hillsboro this week.

Brownwood will also have a team participating in the 15U state tournament in Ennis this week.

The TTAB High School Eligible state tournament wrapped up this weekend in Hillsboro with Brownwood being knocked out in the third round.
