Law Enforcement Blotter 7/19

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, July 19, 2013.

Thursday, July 18

*10:31 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a report of harassment.

*5:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, loss prevention employees stated that an unidentified female suspect concealed numerous items in her purse and walked out of the store without paying for them.  When the loss prevention employee approached the female, she refused to comply and fled the scene in an unknown direction.    The incident is under investigation.

*8:10 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Adams Street for speeding.   According to the report, during the stop, two occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of a usable amount of marijuana.  As a result of the stop, 24-year-old Marcus Black and 24-year-old Alisa Murphy, both of Wylie, were arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 63-year-old Maurice Whitney Connell on an indictment for driving while intoxicated 3rd.

*23-year-old Ignacio Jermiah Cardoza of Bangs turned himself in on a warrant for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Kelly Scott Rogers of Sulphur Springs on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/assault family violence.

Friday, July 19

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Saul Salvador Sanchez on warrants related to driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
