Two people were briefly trapped inside a Pepsi truck when the vehicle clipped a power line at Main Blvd. and Market Place Blvd. Friday afternoon.

The driver of the truck was actually taking a driver’s test as his vehicle clipped the power line, causing the line to lie across and partially wrap around the vehicle.

Both the driver and the testing administrator from Texas Department of Public Safety had to remain inside vehicle until Brownwood Fire Department could clip the line and safely remove it from the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.  The downed line caused a power outage to the surrounding area including the DPS office and Commerce Square shopping center.  Oncor has been called; however there is no word on when power will be restored to the area.
