According to Gayland Miller of Miller Show Goats, “Meat Goat Mania shaped up to be one of the biggest wether show goat sale destinations of the year,” and it is going to be held in the Brownwood area this Saturday.

Thirteen renowned breeders offering 120+ head of stock to be sold at three venues and times around town.  Miller estimates that the event will bring at least 500 visitors to the area.

The “Pick Your Poison Sale #2” will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Brownwood High School Ag Barn.  This sale features Henkhaus Show Goats, the breeder of the 2013 Grand Champion of the Fort Worth Stock Show Light Weight Division (shown by Mason  Weedock).

Blue Team Wether Sale will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Smith Ranch in Zephyr.  This sale features BTW stock, the breeder of the Reserve Grand Champion Light Weight Division of the 2013 San Antonio Stock Show (shown by Bob Martin).

Texas Best Wethers Sale will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum.  This sale features stock from Miller Goats, breeder of the Grand Champion Wether at the 2013 San Antonio Stock Show (shown by Jessica Smith and raised by Schafer Farms).
