TSTC_STEM_BlossomFlyer2013Texas State Technical College (TSTC) invites all girls 13 and older to Blossom, a free fun filled day of learning, lunch, free t-shirt and hands on activities.  In Brownwood, Blossom will be from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on July 24th.

Plant the seeds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and be inspired by special guest and speaker Blackhawk pilot Elizabeth McCormick who will share her inspirational real stories of overcoming obstacles as she became a Blackhawk helicopter pilot for the U. S. Army.  McCormick is a 2011 Congressional Veteran Commendation recipient. Elizabeth has flown in air assault/rappelling, VIP, command & control and military intelligence-gathering missions. In 1999, she supported UN peacekeeping operations in Kosovo.

Elizabeth retired from the military in 2001 after suffering a career-ending injury and is currently as advocate for disabled veterans and inspirational speaker. She has been featured on 20/20 and MSNBC, empowering her audience to “go from where you are to where you want to be.”  She is also a #1 Best Selling Author, her fifth book; The P.I.L.O.T Method is due out in September.
