Early High School Announces Summer Band Schedule

With summer in full swing, it won’t be long until school starts back and everyone is ready for football season.  In preparation of this demanding season on the band, Early High School Band Director Jason Jones announces the summer band schedule as follows:

Week 1

July 31

8-11 am New Member Orientation – this is for all incoming 9th graders, new to band 10-12 graders, Drum Majors and Drill instructors
1-2 pm Full Band Registration*
2-5 pm Full Band Rehearsal Inside

August 1

8-11:30 am Full Band Outside
1-4 pm Full Band Inside

August 2

8-11:30 Full Band Outside
10 pm – 6am Evening Activity – Lock In!

Week 2**

August 5

6-9 pm Full Band

August 6

2-4 pm Woodwind/Percussion Sectional
6-9 pm Full Band
9-11 pm Evening Activity – Bowling!

August 7

3-6 pm Full Band

August 8

2-4 pm Brass/ Percussion Sectional
6-9 pm Full Band
10 pm Evening Activity – Movie Night!

August 9

NO REHEARSAL!!! Enjoy the Weekend!

Week 3**

August 12

6-9 pm Full Band

August 13

2-4 pm Woodwind/Percussion Sectional
6-9 pm Full Band

August 14

3-6 pm Full Band
August 15

2-4 pm Brass/ Percussion Sectional
6-9 pm Full Band

August 16

8-11:30 am Full Band

Week 4***

August 19

7-9 pm Full Band

August 20

7 pm Parent Meeting/1st Performance

August 21

4-6 pm Full Band

August 22

NO BAND! (Football Scrimmage)

August 23

TBA Full Band

*This will be a time to meet, greet, get an instrument, an instrument slot, etc.
** Each section will have an additional sectional during week 2 and 3. Make sure you note which day your section is on. Percussion will meet multiple days.
***All rehearsals this week are subject to change based on the in-service schedule of teachers. Band members will be informed ASAP if there are any changes.
