Funeral services for Ruby S. Holubec, age 92, of Brownwood, will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Hubbard Funeral Home Chapel in Weimer.  Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Weimer.  The family will receive friends at the Heartland Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00.

Mrs. Holubec died Friday, June 7, 2013 in Brownwood.

Ruby Stoll Holubec was born on December 14, 1920 in Taylor to Sam and Ida Stoll.  She married Clifton Holubec in 1945.  The Holubecs lived in and raised their family in Texas City for 30 years where she worked as a dental assistant.  She later lived in Corsicana and Austin for a number of years before moving to Brownwood in 2012.  She had been a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Corsicana and First Evangelical Free Church in Austin.

Ruby is survived by her two sons, Ken Holubec of May and Cliff Holubec and wife Delores of Athens, a sister, Norma Powell of Corsicana, and a nephew Victor Holubec of Georgetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter-in-law Polly Holubec, two brothers, Arthur and Herman Stoll and a sister, Edna Magozowitz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity in Ruby’s honor.

Condolences can be offered to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
