S.L. “Jim Lee” Cargill

Sherril Lee Cargill was born November 25th, 1943 in Artesia, New Mexico. Son of Jesse Lee Cargill and Iva Bernice Melton. Father, Jesse Lee was kia during WWII. Bernice remarried L.T. Beauchamp the two raised S.L. and added siblings, Karen Beauchamp Cawley and Rick Beauchamp.   After completing his high school education, S.L. attended New Mexico State University obtaining his degree in Agriculture. Sherril Lee married and had 5 children.  Lee moved to Texas approximately mid-80s.  Remarried Vicki Ferrell and had an additional daughter. S.L. later settled in Eden, Tx to work as a prison guard at Eden Detention Center. S.L. Cargill then retired in Zephyr, Tx. S.L. Cargill went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 5, 2013.

Sherril Lee, S.L., Lee, Jim Lee however you knew him was friend to all. Enjoyed fishing and the tall tales involved with such adventures. Papa was proud of his grandkids and spent hours over coffee with friends bragging on each one.

S.L. Cargill was preceded in death by his mother, father and step-father.

Survivors include Sister Karen Beauchamp Cawley and spouse, Mike. Brother, Rick Beauchamp and Spouse. Children Kelly Brady, Theresa Colette “Coco” Ramey,  Linda Gammons, Russell and Roy Cargill.  Haeli Cornett and collective spouse and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Best friends, Roger & Sharifah Smith. Numerous Grandchildren.

Graveside services to be held at the Zephyr Cemetery on June 11, 2013 Tuesday at 10:30am. Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Tx.

In lieu of the flowers the family asks that you donate to the Zephyr Cemetery Fund.
