The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department would like to let the residents of Brownwood and the surrounding area know that they still have the opportunity to pick up a free bike helmet for their children through the Hard Hats for Little Heads program.

The bike helmet give-away is made possible through a matching grant from the Texas Medical Association and the TMA Foundation. The bike helmets are available at the health department, which is located at 510 E. Lee St. The health department is open from 8:00 am until 11:30 am, and from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Children must be present in order to make sure they are fitted with the correct size helmet. Questions may be directed to the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department at 325-646-0554.
