Fundraiser Raffle to Benefit Heart of Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, Tickets Now Available

HOT_CACLogoThe Heart of Texas Children’s Advocacy Center is holding a fundraiser raffle to help fund the services they offer to children of Brown County.

One item to be raffled is a package of four Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor Season Passes & Season Parking, valued at $350.  Tickets for this raffle are available for $5 each or $25 for 6 tickets.

The other item being raffled is a party for 20 at Seal Gymnastics, a $185 value.  Tickets for this item are $2 each or $5 for 3.

Tickets can be purchased at Early Blooms and Things, LeapFrog Child Development Center, Nicole Petty at The Rage, Leaping Lizard, Heart of Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, or by calling or texting 325-200-9464.  Both drawings will be held on June 1st.

The Heart of Texas Children’s Advocacy Center is a child-focused center that coordinates the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse while helping abused children heal.  Their location in Early, Texas is designed to create a sense of safety and security for the children.

The Heart of Texas Children’s Advocacy Center is the one non-profit organization in Brown County and Mills County that serves as the first stop for children entering the justice system as possible victims of abuse or witnesses to violent crime. Each year more than 40,000 children receive services at one of the 60-plus CACs operating across the state of Texas.

CACs help bring children both justice and healing by providing vital services including:

  • Specialized Forensic Interviewing
  • Medical Consultations
  • Mental Health Assessments and Treatment
  • Court Accompaniment
  • Community Prevention Education
  • Referrals to Social Service/Support Agencies
  • Information about Crime Victim Rights and Services
  • Multi-Disciplinary Team Case Reviews
  • Comprehensive Advocacy Services
