Three BHS Athletes Qualify for State Track Meet

leapinglion Brownwood High School qualified three athletes for the state track and field meet that will take place in Austin May 10-11 after their performances in the Region I-3A meet at Texas Tech over the weekend.

Lady Lions Lexie Lewis and Victoria Henry and Brownwood Lion Dylan Person will all be headed to the state meet. Lewis will compete in the 100 meter and 200 meter runs, Henry will compete in the shot put and Person in the 1600 meter run.

Lewis set a new Regional record of 24.55 in the 200 meter run on Saturday taking the top spot in that event to advance to state.
