Early Longhorn track athletes competed in the Area 6-2A track and field meet in Sonora on Thursday, April 18th and six will advance to regional competition.
Athletes competing in the area meet, pictured above, were (back row) Aubrey Horton, Emily Harris, Hanna McDaniel, Chelsea Johston, (front row) Sara Smithey, Grant Gowdy, and Callie Campbell.
The following athletes qualified to compete at the Region 1-2A track meet set for April 26-27 at Odessa Ratliff Stadium.
Grant Gowdy 2nd in 800M Run
Callie Campbell 2nd in 2 mile Run
Chelsea Johnston 1st in 800M Run
Hannah McDaniel 3rd in Triple Jump
Emily Harris 2nd in 100M Hurdles
Aubrey Horton 3rd in Discus and 1st in Shot Put
