Dora Hinojosa

HinojosaFuneral services for Dora Hinojosa, age 76, of Brownwood will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 15, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with John Villarreal officiating. Cremation will follow.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00.

Mrs. Hinojosa died Friday April 12, 2013 in Brownwood.

Dora Gonzales Hinojosa was born on February 8, 1937 in Melvin to Estevan and Julia Pesina Gonzales.  She married Paul Avelino Hinojosa on December 16, 1952 in Plainview.  Dora lived most of her adult life in Brownwood.  She was a homemaker and mother, and worked in the healthcare field.

She is survived by her children, Sylvia Jones of Frisco, Frank Hinojosa of San Antonio, Jerry Hinojosa and Mary Helen Herrera of Brownwood, Judy Hinojosa of Frisco, Connie Solis and husband Robert of Brownwood, Paul Hinojosa of Brownwood, Johnny Hinojosa and wife Andreita of Brownwood, Chris Hinojosa and wife Martina of Brownwood, Michael Hinojosa and partner Travis  Essary of Dublin, CA, Julie Allred and husband James of Brownwood, Ben Hinojosa of Abilene, Maggie Dominguez and husband Tim of Krum; eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Hope Rojas of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
