William P. Goodner

GoodnerWilliamPWilliam P. Goodner, 72, of Brownwood, formerly of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at a local nursing facility in Brownwood. As per his wishes, his body will be cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home of Brownwood, and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Wichita Falls.

William Preston Goodner was born on September 29, 1940, in Henrietta, Texas, a son of Jimmie C. Goodner and Martha Haddox Goodner. He had worked in the construction business as a painter and had lived in Brownwood for the last few years. Mr. Goodner had lived the majority of his life in Wichita Falls.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters, Harold and BJ Goodner of Lake Kickapoo, Texas, Ricky Goodner of Brownwood, Diane and Roy Crater, Janet and Joe Jackson and Tammy and Robert Reyes, all of Wichita Falls; his children, Melissa Goodner and her two children, of Abilene, Preston Goodner of Brownwood, Jimmy Rogers of Arizona and Dinia Goodner and fiancé Chris Allen and their three children, of Wichita Falls; and grandchildren Heather and Adrianna of Brownwood. He is also survived by three additional grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Johnny Goodner and Jimmy Goodner.
