FEMA will host a floodplain meeting on Tuesday, April 9th from 4 PM – 6:30 PM at the Adams Street Community Center to discuss revisions to floodplain maps.

All Brownwood, Early, Blanket, and Brown County citizens who live in low lying areas and/or within close proximity of creeks/streams are invited to attend the come and go meeting.  Lending institutions and insurance representatives are also invited to attend.   Preliminary floodplain maps will be available for review showing the changes.

FEMA & National Flood Insurance representatives, along with local representatives will be in attendance to review maps and answer questions.  FEMA flood insurance will be less costly before the maps are officially adopted.
