JarrettVisitsVictoryGym2013Former USA Gymnastic National Team Coach Jim Jarrett recently paid a visit to Victory Gymnastics Academy of Texas in Brownwood.

Jim Jarrett trained coaches and worked with the Victory Gymnastics athletes during his stay in Brownwood.  “We are very fortunate to have someone of Coach Jarrett’s training and background as a resource for our gym,” said Stephanie Ivey, owner of Victory Gymnastics.  “In addition to the skills and drills typical clinic, Coach Jarrett worked with our coaches to challenge our young athletes to be the best they can be.”

Jarrett has coached classes at all levels, from parent and child class to Olympic and world caliber. Jarrett said “It was an honor to be here with these young athletes. Victory Gymnastics keeps their coaches abreast of the latest developments in our sport.  As you probably saw in the recent Olympic Games, gymnastics continues to evolve, and we have an extremely exciting future. I feel very confident in the work at Victory Gymnastics.  As a matter of fact, I would definitely bring my daughter here.”

Coach Ivey said, “It is very encouraging to have someone of this caliber confirm our years of hard work. We have more work to do, of course, and with a resource such as Coach Jarrett, we are excited about the future.”

Victory Gymnastics Academy is a long standing member of USA Gymnastics.  Ivey is a USAG certified Junior Olympic Team Coach.  There are two USAG Professional Coaches on staff, and two USAG certified instructors.
