A World For Children to Host 1st Annual “Run for Dreams 5K” and Family Fun April 13th

AWorldForChildren_LogoA World For Children announces their 1st Annual ” Run For Dreams 5K” and family fun run.   The public is invited to join a World For Children at the event at Riverside Pavilion in Riverside Park early Saturday morning, April 13th.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the race will begin at 9:00 a.m.

First and Second Place will be honored at the finish line and all participants will revel in finish line activities including music, food, drinks, and lots of excitement.

Run For Dreams is a statewide effort and AWFC is hosting thirteen 5k Runs across the state, with three goals in mind: increase awareness of the impact of child abuse in the communities AWFC serves, recruit new foster parents and volunteers to join in the fight against the cycle of child abuse, and to raise funding for summer camp for teens.
