TheLight_logoA new faith based community center “The Rock, Salt and Light” will host a Christian concert at 6:00pm on April 12 at “The Light,” located at 309 3rd (across from the HPU Tennis Courts).

The concert will feature Adelaine, Sun City, and Taylor Castleberry.  Tickets are $5.00 at door to raise funds for this new nonprofit organization.

“Blessed are we to announce the opening of a faith based community center, fellowship, ‘club’ or ‘place’ if you will.  ‘The Rock, Salt and Light’ will open its doors to young and old seeking fellowship, fun, music and a house of prayer,” said organizer Jodie Armstrong.  “Our goal is to provide a supportive Christ-centered, fun and safe environment where youth through 90 years of age may develop intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and socially in a safe spirit filled environment.”

The cost of the concert, according to organizers will help to make improvements to the building and add activities for its visitors to enjoy.

“This first concert is to raise funds for our nonprofit center and to purchase pool tables; table tennis; foosball; computers for homework, games and job seeking; books; tables; chairs; building materials; music equipment and more, depending on what the Lord asks us to do,” said Armstrong.

For more information please call Jodie Armstrong at 325-642-0363 or Micah Jaynes at 325-203-3083.
