Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water clear; 57–61 degrees; 10.80′ low. Black bass are fair on craw colored crankbaits, chartreuse/blue Bass Hogg spinnerbaits and jigs, and watermelon soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on white tube jigs and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 14.05′ low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits and dark soft plastic worms or lizards. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 59–64 degrees; 35.91′ low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, jigs, Rat–L–Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and Rooster Tails. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

Lake Proctor

Water lightly stained; 57–61 degrees; 5.55′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
