A first of what is hoped to become an annual event, “Glitz, Glamour & Gals…a Gathering for Giving,” will be hosted by the Woman’s Club of Brownwood on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center.

The event will be a “girl’s night out/mini-women’s expo” according to organizers, featuring local and area retailers and small businesses selling their wares.  Some of the booths participating include Hamilton’s, Dazzling Divas, Joe Sheppard Designs, K LeShae’s, Creative Image Laser Solutions, Dot’s Closet Boutique, BKB Turquoise Ranch, Doc’s Drugstore, Scott’s Western Wear and more.  Items such as clothing, jewelry, and other gift items will be available.

There will also be live entertainment, a wine tasting by Wedding Oak Winery of San Saba; a liqueur tasting of St. Germain liqueur and appetizers and treats from the Brownwood Country Club, Humphrey Pete’s, The Turtle Restaurant, Common Grounds Coffee House and a cheese tasting by Veldhuizen Handcrafted Cheeses of Dublin.

The event will also feature great door prizes.  Those attending can also participate in a silent auction and buy raffle tickets to win a 50″ Samsung LED Smart TV.

All proceeds will benefit the Brown County charities chosen this year by the Woman’s Club Philanthropic committee.

Sponsors of the event are Wendlee Broadcasting, Big Country Ford Lincoln, Bostick’s Auto & Truck Sales, Citizens National Bank and Texas Bank.  Tickets are $10 each and are available at all of the above sponsor locations except Texas Bank.  Tickets are also available at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.
