Funeral services for Denman “Scooter” Cain, age 41, of Lake Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery in Comanche County.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mr. Cain died Monday, March 17, 2013.

Scooter was born in Brownwood on March 30, 1971 in Brownwood to Denman E. and Jo Lynn (Blevins) Cain.  He grew up in Saginaw and was a longtime resident of Brownwood.  He was employed by Smith Roofing at the time of his death.

Scooter is survived by a daughter, Brooke Kruse of Brownwood, a son, Denman Bradley Cain of Brownwood, a grandson, Bryston Kruse of Brownwood, his parents, Denman and Jo Lynn Cain of Lake Brownwood, a brother, David Cain of Brownwood, nephews, Jayden and Evan Cain of Brownwood, his maternal grandmother, Frances Blevins of Brownwood, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jackie Wilson and his maternal grandfather, Carrol Blevins.
