12: 30 PM Update:  Brown County Sheriff’s Office released the identities of two of the three victims who perished in this morning’s mobile home fire near Lake Brownwood.

Brown County Sheriff’s Captain Tony Aaron reported that two male bodies were identified as 43-year-old Eddie Jowers and 42-year-old Denman Cain, Jr.  The identity of the female remains unidentified at this time, according to Aaron.

Three people were killed in an overnight mobile home fire in the Shamrock Shores area of Lake Brownwood, according to Brown County Sheriff’s officials.

Firefighters responded to a mobile home on Shannon Drive around 3:30 AM Monday which was engulfed in flames, according to Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs.   He said that three adult bodies were found inside the mobile home.  Investigators are withholding the identities of the identified bodies until next of kin can be notified, Grubbs said.   He also said that the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

“At this point, we’re not certain, its cause is unknown,” Grubbs said. “Bodies are being sent to the coroner; maybe they’ll get some answers. Nothing to indicate foul play at this point, but we are not ruling anything out.”

Brown County Sheriff investigator Sgt. Lana Guthrie said that neighbors in the area and firefighters reported explosion noises during the fire.

Guthrie said that members of the state fire marshal’s office are on scene for the investigation.   The Brownwood Fire Marshal who normally heads up these investigations is out of town at training.

The bodies of the deceased were being removed from the structure late Monday morning and Guthrie said that they will be sent for autopsies.
