Rodeo_PosterRanger College will be hosting the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Rodeo for the first time ever in Brownwood starting this Thursday.   Over 400 college students from west Texas and eastern New Mexico will participate in the event on February 28, March 1 and 2 at the Earl Q. Wilson rodeo arena.

Rodeo events such as bull riding, goat tying, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and more will be featured as students work to show their skills.

As an added bonus, Bad Company Rodeo is providing stock for the event.

Tickets are available in advance at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Early Chamber of Commerce, Wendlee Broadcasting, KOXE, Scott’s Western Wear, and Citizens National Bank.  Tickets are $8 each for adults and $5 for kids. Box seats are also available.

The gates open at 6 PM and events begin at 7:30 PM each night.

Call Ranger College at 254-647-3234 for more information about the rodeo or to purchase box seats.
