Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Ruben Diaz, on probation for the felony offense of driving while intoxicated, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Luis Medina pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession o f Firearm and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Chris Michael Hoffman pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Hoffman, on probation for the felony offense of Criminal Mischief was adjudicated and sentenced to 1 year, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Timothy Leon Bullion pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

James Victor Carr pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William Woods pled no contest to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Woods pled no contest to the state jail felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Jerry Evane Welch, on probation for the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.    Further, Welch pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of Marijuana and was sentenced to 9 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Justin Leigh Morris pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Christina Maebeth Donham pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Marshall Colt Williams pled no contest to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
