Dannie Lee Seward, 90, of Crane passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the Crane Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early, with the Rev. Ruben Packer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bangs Cemetery.

Dannie was born on Dec. 10, 1922, in Christoval, Texas, to Willie and Sleety Chaffin. She was a graduate of Crane High School. Dannie retired as the admissions supervisor at the Brownwood Regional Hospital. She had lived in Crane for the past 15 years, moving from Thrifty, Texas. She was a Baptist, and attended the Victory Baptist Church in Brownwood.

Dannie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delton Seward, in 1996; and being the youngest of 11 children, was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

Dannie is survived by her daughter, Karla Harbin and her husband Larry of Crane; two sons, Robert Seward and his wife Carol, and Steven Seward of Altus, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
