Judy Ann Kiser

Judy Ann Kiser, 64, of Owens, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, with her family by her side. Services will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Heartland Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the May Cemetery in May, Texas. Visitation will held be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Judy was born July 28, 1948, in Brownwood, to James Arlie and Lorene Simpson. She was married to Mac D. Kiser, Oct. 24, 1997, in Brownwood. Judy was very family oriented, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant everything to her. Judy will especially be remembered for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and was always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband, Mac D. Kiser of Owens; son, Tony Matthews of Austin, son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Loretta Thompson of Early, son and daughter-in-law Joey and Terie Horton of Red Oak. She is also survived by her stepchildren; Charles and Nancy Curtis of Price, Texas, Loretta Brohstein of May, Texas, and Jackie and Maria Kiser of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is survived by six granddaughters, Kynzi Thompson, Sydni Thompson, Wytni Thompson, Tresta Donahoo, Patricia Cole and Cynthia Cole. Three grandsons, Zachary Cole, Joseph Horton, and Jaryn Pruitt. Her great-grandchildren Adysn Atchley and Christian Cole. Judy is survived by one sister, Betty Chambers of May; and three brothers, Chick Simpson of Brownwood, Edward Simpson and Randy Purcell both of May; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved mini dachshund Haley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Arlie and Lorene Simpson; stepfather, Raymond Purcell; brother, Stanley Purcell; and a sister Peggy Waddle.
