Mike Nichols, 53, of Bangs, died on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at a local nursing facility in Bangs. As per his request, his body will be cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mike was born on May 7, 1959, in Fort Worth Texas to James Charles Nichols and Mildred Jackson Nichols. He was a drywall carpenter and had lived in Bangs for the last seven years, moving here from Fort Worth .

Survivors include his wife, Jimi Simmons of Bangs; children, Natalie Nichols and Brandon Nichols, both of Fort Worth, and Daniel Martin of McKinney; granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Nichols and brother, Royce Wayne Chance of Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Mildred Nichols and brother, Larry Chance.
