E. D. Pierce

pierce_EDFuneral services for E. D. Pierce, age 81, of Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with David Barnum officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday at the funeral home.

E.D. passed away at home on Saturday, February 2, 2013.

He was born on July 15, 1931, in Runge, TX to Edward Dewey Pierce and Lola McFadden. E.D. was raised in Brownwood and married Anna L. McKinney in 1951.

He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves and fought in the Korean War. E.D. was a diesel mechanic and traveled to Chile, Kuwait, Trinidad and Alaska while working on oil rigs. E.D. and Anna lived in Las Vegas, NV for 30 years before retiring to Brownwood in 1993. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Anna; daughters DeeAnne Fultz and husband Dan, Debbie Bruna and husband Robert, Darla Pierce, and Rene Lively and husband Jason; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
