JohnsonFrancesFuneral services for Frances Johnson, age 80 of Early, will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Salt Creek Baptist Church with Jimmie Mize officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salt Creek Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home of Brownwood.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00.

Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Odessa.

Frances was born on August 30, 1932 in Mitchell County to Robert and Lela (Hines) Prescott.  She attended Buford and Colorado City schools and married Bob Johnson on September 9, 1950 in Buford, Texas.  In 1957, Frances and Bob moved to Early.

Frances was a wise, witty, generous, caring, and loving woman.  She loved her friends and family with all her being and always said “I love you all the world!” She loved her God and inspired all of us to follow his principles and be the best people we could be.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathy Peak, two grandchildren, Jonathan & Joshua Peak, and three great-grandchildren, Adonis Treadaway, Justice Paura, and Matthew Crager; her siblings, RC Prescott, Mae Bowman, James Prescott, Wesley Hines, and David Hines.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Johnson of Early, a son, Brock Johnson and wife Tammy of Early, a daughter, Debbie Treadaway and husband Dennis of Chrane; nine grandchildren, Jesse Treadaway, Jeremy Johnson, Amanda Johnson-Gowin, Aurelia Johnson, Amy Smith, TJ Treadaway, Thomas Johnson, Tiffany Johnson-Miller, and Petey Johnson; twenty-one great-grandchildren; her siblings, Delmer Prescott, Vivian Noel and Bessie Corbel.
