Graveside services for Monette Grinstead, age 72, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Winchell Cemetery  with Rev. Roger Matthews officiating under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  She passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in a local nursing home.

Monette was born on November 6, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas to Austin and Claude Jones Maedgen.  On March 6, 1959 she married Gerald Grinstead in Brownwood.  Monette was a lifetime resident of Brownwood, was employed as a switchboard operator for First National Bank for many years and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and animals.

Survivors include her husband Gerald Grinstead of Brownwood; daughter Monelle Manley and husband Tim of Brownwood; grandchildren Teneal Hill and husband Landon of Brownwood and Trent Manley and wife Krista of Corsicana; one great grandchild Paisley Hill of Brownwood.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
