BurnsTeresaTessMemorial services for Tess Burns, 46, of Brownwood, will be held at 3 PM on Friday, January 18, 2013, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating.

Ms. Burns passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, at her home in Brownwood.

Teresa Dawn Burns was born on July 14, 1966, in Ashland, Ohio, to Donald Dwight Burns and Brenda Payne Burns. Tess had lived in Brownwood since she was five and loved gardening, working with plants and most of all, she had a great love for animals. Her family lovingly called her the “dog whisperer”.  She had worked as a General Manager for Rotocast Plastics in Knoxville, Tennessee for many years before moving back to Brownwood.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Brenda Burns of Brownwood; sisters, Tamara Evans of Brownwood and Donna Posey of Austin; her brother, Kelly Burns of Brownwood; and nieces and nephews, Daniel Bishop of Austin, Chelsi Martin of Brownwood, Christopher Bishop of Austin, Katy Evans of Austin, Kelson Burns of Boston, Zachary Burns of Brownwood, and Great nephew, Xavier Deal of Brownwood.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Burns and a brother, Scott Burns.

Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.nethertonfuneralhome.com.
