The Brownwood Lions Mothers Club hosted the team’s annual football banquet and awards Thursday night.

Brownwood Lion Mack Monsen received the Chris Hart Memorial Scholarship during the event, and Bryce Vickers received the Debbie Ellis Scholarship award.

Head Coach Bob Shipley spoke about the season and thanked the athletes, parents and coaches for their hard work.  All of the players, freshmen, JV and Varsity, were recognized individually with certificates.

Special Guests in attendance included Dallas & Linda Huston, Diane and John Rainey from Sonic, and Michael Richardson who along with Dallas, represented KOXE.  The team also thanked the Lockwood family and Dr Pepper as well as the Howey family and Humphrey Pete’s.  Dallas Huston was emcee for the event.
