Former Brown County Republican Party Chair Brad Locker was recognized Friday by State Representative Jim Keffer, District 60, for his years of service.

Locker served as chairman over 14 years for the Brown County Republican Party until he resigned in April of last year.  Sammie Steward was elected as the new chairman after Locker resigned.

Locker was presented with a certificate and a Texas flag by Keffer, which had flown over the State Capitol.

Keffer was the guest speaker during Friday’s Brown County Republican Women’s luncheon at the Brownwood Country Club where the recognition ceremony was held.  Keffer spoke about the legislative session and issues the state will be facing this year.
