Eunice May Medlock

MedlockEuniceMayFuneral Service for Eunice May Medlock, age 91, of Brownwood, will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with Tim Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. She passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at her home in Brownwood.

Eunice May Medlock was born on September 05, 1921 to Henry and Etta (Summers) Ross.

She found the love of her life and they were married on December 23, 1939.  After most of 73 years, J.J. went to help prepare “Gingy’s” house in Heaven. She was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and she enjoyed painting and needlework. “Gingy” was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She and Poppa are survived by two sons; Roy Medlock and his wife Glenda of Brownwood Texas and Mike Medlock of Angleton, Texas.  She is survived by two granddaughters Sandra Irwin and husband Allen Irwin of Brownwood, TX; and Vicki McLaughlin and husband Pat McLaughlin of Brownwood, TX; 6 great grandchildren, Crissy Lundy and husband Travis of Brownwood, Ashley McLaughlin, Patrick McLaughlin, Megan Irwin, Cameron McLaughlin and Alex McLaughlin all of Brownwood TX; 2 great-great grandchildren Jake and Pennylane Lundy also of Brownwood. She is also survived by a sister Pauline Demery of Granite City, Illinois, one brother Larence Ross of Somerville, Missouri, and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Etta Ross, and her husband James Justin “J.J.” Medlock.
