Audrey Lois Thacker, age 87 of Brownwood, passed away on December 20, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Paris, Texas to Hiram Lee Wright and Minnie Belle Parks Wright on September 18, 1925. She was a lifetime area resident, a homemaker and worked for Glenn Reed for many years. She was a member of the Grosvenor Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans Association. She had many bingo friends and buddies who gave her joy.

She was married to Junior Thacker and they had five children, four of whom survive her; Sherry Cox and husband Roger of Early, Jeanne Thacker of San Antonio, Gail Graves and husband Lee of Brownwood, and Susan Lewis and husband Sam of Lubbock. She is also survived by a sister, Louise Peace of Paris, 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Thacker, her parents, a son Dennis Thacker, one brother and two sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Blaylock Funeral Home, 1914 Indian Creek Road, in Brownwood. Graveside services for Mrs. Thacker will be at Eastlawn Memorial Park on Sunday, December 23 at 3:00 PM with Bro. David Barnum officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Toys for Kids Program at POB 912, Brownwood, TX 76804.
