A Lake Brownwood home was destroyed as fire engulfed the structure Monday night.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, the property was reported to be fully engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived at the home located in the 6900 block of County Road 569 at Lake Brownwood.

Fire Marshal Buddy Preston said that no one was home when the fire began and no injuries were reported.

Preston said that the fire is still under investigation and no cause could be determined Monday night. The wood frame home was reported to be a total loss.

Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department, Bangs VFD, Lake Dam VFD and Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the fire Monday night.
