Law Enforcement Blotter 12/13

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, December 13, 2012.

Wednesday, December 12

*1:46 p.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  According to the report, store loss prevention officers had a suspect detained in the loss prevention office.  One of the loss prevention officers stated that he observed the suspect remove a pair of binoculars from their packaging and place the binoculars inside his jacket pocket, the report states.  As the suspect exited the store, the loss prevention officers identified themselves and recovered the stolen property, according to the report.  The suspect, 18-year-old Jeffrey Beck was arrested for theft of property $50-$500.

*3:52 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a complainant stated that she observed on store video surveillance a female customer putting items into her purse without paying for several items.  The complainant also provided the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect left in, the report states.  No arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*7:05 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Good Shepherd regarding a missing person.  According to the report, the complainant indicated that her family has not been in contact with her brother for several months and that he has not been making Facebook posts and has failed to maintain contact with his friends.  The missing person is believed to be in the Ferndale area of Washington State and an attempt to locate was sent to the Ferndale area, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Sammie Celes Foster for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Thursday, December 13

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Robert Brant Villalpando of Early for Public Intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Danny Woods for driving while intoxicated.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
