It was a crisp morning when 33 runners and walkers came to Gordon Wood Stadium on Saturday morning for the Santa’s Sleigh 5K Fun Run as a part of the Christmas Under the Stars Festival.

Awards were given for the top male and female runners as well as age group medals.

Proceeds from this year’s run will benefit the Weekday Preschool at First United Methodist Church.

Pictured left are the top male and overall winner 13-year-old Kirk Vickers with a time of 22:10.8 and the top female winner Leah Lee with a time of 23:13.6.

The 2012 Christmas Under the Stars festival will continue in its last day Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at the Depot Cultural and Civic Center, Adams Street Community Center and Lehnis Railroad Museum.
