jones_leslieGraveside services for Leslie J. Jones will be Sunday December 9, 2012, at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home Early, Texas.

Mr. Jones passed away at his home in Blanket Tuesday December 4, 2012. He was born September 7, 1927 in Norton, Texas to David and Ida Boyd Jones. He was a lifetime resident of Brown County.

Leslie worked for Superior Cable in Brownwood for over ten years. He was a member of the Holder Baptist Church. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, raising goats, and caring for his little dog Roxann. He was married to Nelda Campbell September 6, 1957 at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Brown County.

Leslie is survived by his wife Nelda Jones of Blanket, three sons; Johnny and wife Linda Jones of Blanket, Charles and wife Jane Jones of Early, and David and wife Loretta Jones of Blanket. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister Juanell Kibodeaux of Stephenville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Selina Kay Jones and five sisters.
