The Brownwood Art Association held its 8th Annual Chili Luncheon and Miniature Art Sale on Friday afternoon with a great success. The event was held at the Art Center located at 215 Fisk in downtown Brownwood.
Early in the event, many of the paintings had already been selected by eager buyers. Eighty-eight pieces of artwork donated by 17 local artists were displayed for sale, proceeds of which benefit the Art Association’s renovation of the Art Center.
The Brownwood Art Association was founded in 1927. The association funds a scholarship to aid area art students who major in art, donate art related books to the public library as memorials and continue to host art exhibits, classes and events throughout the year.
