salvationarmyThe Salvation Army, Wal-Mart and Chili’s are working together to help local children in need this Christmas and on Saturday, December 8th they will kick off the “2012 Fill the Truck” Drive.

From 9 AM to 5 PM, the Salvation Army’s Disaster Canteen will be at Wal-Mart and the public is asked to buy a new toy or coat to donate to the “2012 Fill the Truck” Drive.

Chili’s of Brownwood will be at the Canteen with ‘Peppers’ to give to those who donate and will also be sponsoring a drawing for Chili’s gift cards.  Organizers encourage everyone to come shop and give the gift that will mean so much to a boy or girl this Christmas.

All toys will be given to the Brown County Toys for Kids Program and coats will benefit the Salvation Army’s coat and blanket drive.

For more information, call Donna Harris at 325-646-5369.
