Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray released information on several felony cases that were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Wallace Evans pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 35 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Mario Delarosa pled guilty to the two separate felony offenses of Indecency with a Child and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Michael Phillip Salazar pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Marcus Dewayne Lawrence, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced was revoked and sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Victor Cerda Contreras pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Preston Browne pled guilty to the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Occlusion and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jason Dee Lewis, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was revoked and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Julio Victor Torro pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Daryl Ryan Waisner pled no contest to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 40 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Paul Keith Walker pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
