CartoonSantaBangs Business Association and the Bangs Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor the Bangs Lighted Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15th.

Lineup is at the transportation barn on Gant Street and the parade route will be all the way down Fitzgerald and turn into beautiful downtown Bangs.

Organizers encourage the public to, “Come home to a special hometown feeling of Christmas in a small town and be ready for the one of the best parades ever!  Bring the entire family for lots to see at the Bangs Business Association Lighted Christmas Parade 2012.”  There will be bands, police, fire trucks, trick mowers, floats from church and civic groups, out of town floats, 4-wheelers and horses all with lights.

The Grand Marshals this year are Sammy McClatchy, long time Bangs school teacher, and Barbara Findley, a long time Bangs business owner.  These two ladies represent the cornerstone of Bangs’ education and business.

To enter the parade, simply be at the transportation barn on Gant Street by 5:15 p.m. on Saturday for lineup for a spot in the parade.  There is no charge for entry.  Immediately following the parade, be sure to stop downtown at the BVFD Fire Station for cookies and hot chocolate with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Have a picture made and enjoy a hometown Christmas Bangs style.
