Cities of Brownwood and Early Announce Thanksgiving Holiday Closings

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Brownwood and Early city officials have announced their holiday closings and trash schedules.

BROWNWOOD

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holidays, the City of Brownwood announces City Hall will be closed and there will be no collection of residential waste on Thursday or Friday, November 22nd and 23rd, 2012.  Residents with blue or green carts, please note that your collection days are as follows:

Thursday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, November 21st.

Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, November 24th.

The Recycling Center and Landfill will be closed on Thursday and Friday. November 22nd and 23rd and will reopen on Saturday, November 24th.

The City collects bulky items including brush and tree limbs from residential customers at no charge, please cut them into lengths of 5 feet or less and notify the Sanitation Department at 643-4200 or online at [email protected].

For problems related to water or sewer service within the City of Brownwood, customers may call 646-6000 24 hours per day 7 days per week.

EARLY

Early City Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Wednesday’s and Thursday’s residential trash routes will be picked up on Wednesday, November 21st.
