The high school marching bands from Brownwood and Early will be teaming up this weekend to march and perform jointly in the Veterans Day Parade this Saturday.

Both bands practiced together for the first time Monday night at Early’s Longhorn Stadium to prepare for the event.   Bands were treated to a hamburger supper after the Monday night practice by their band booster clubs.

The bands will be led in the parade by Brownwood drum majors Natalie Mayo and Isabella Avalos and Early drum majors Amy Hurtado and Ryan Contreras.

The Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, November 10th at 10 a.m. and will travel through Downtown Brownwood.

The parade will begin a series of Veterans Day events on Saturday including a ceremony to honor veterans at 11 a.m. at the Depot Pavilion, and then a benefits fair from 12-2 p.m. in the Depot Civic & Cultural Center.  There will be live entertainment, food and a flyover as well as information from federal, state, and local agencies and businesses that provide services to veterans.

Pictured are some photos from the Monday night practice as well as a short video preview below.
