Law Enforcement Blotter 10/30

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

Tuesday, October 23

*8:21am-Brownwood Police received a report of a student threatening a member of the Brownwood High School administration.  According to the report, the juvenile was taken into custody for terroristic threat and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Monday, October 29

*4:55pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a fraudulent prescription that a customer was attempting to fill at a local pharmacy on the north side of Brownwood.  According to Assistant Chief James Fuller, the pharmacist noticed a fake prescription and called police.  He continued filling the prescription and as the customer, identified as 29-year-old Ashley Lynn Hill of May, accepted and paid for the narcotics, and the officer observed the transaction, said Fuller.  The officer followed Hill to the parking lot where she was found to have in her possession more prescription bottles from other recent fraudulent transactions said Fuller.  Hill was arrested, charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28grams, two felony counts of fraudulent possession of a controlled substance/prescription schedule III/IV, and possession of a dangerous drug.

*7:35pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, witnesses reported seeing a male subject beating a female in the front yard of the residence.   The male, identified as 45-year-old Larry Wigfield, was located by officers as he was attempting to leave the scene, the report states.  Wigfield was arrested for assault with injury family violence (enhanced to felony because of prior conviction) as well as driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*10:35pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant advised that the father of her children threatened to kill her and slapped her in the right arm.  No injuries were observed by the officer, the report states.  The subject was located by other officers and questioned.  No arrests were made at the time of the report; however the incident was documented.

*11:23pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a runaway juvenile from a residence in the 2800 block of Southside Drive.  According to the report, the complainant did not wish to list her son as a runaway but did wish to have assistance in finding him.  While speaking with the complainant, her son was located at a friend’s home across town, the report states.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
