Wednesday, October 24

*7:29am-Brownwood Police received a report of an incident where a car struck a fence and the driver fled the scene in the 2300 block of Belle Plain.  According to the report, the driver was located and contacted regarding the matter.  The vehicle was towed and charges were filed for fleeing the accident scene.

*7:56am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Center Avenue, TexasBank, regarding a found bicycle.  According to the report, the bicycle was taken to the Brownwood Police Department impound for safekeeping until its rightful owner can properly identify and claim it.

*8:47am-Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of Fisk Avenue regarding forgery/counterfeiting.  According to the report, a suspect was named and the investigation is ongoing.

*11:14am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Belle Plain regarding theft.  According to the report, a BBQ pit was stolen from the front yard of the residence while the complainant was out of town.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*11:42am-Brownwood Police received a report of a violation of a protective order that occurred in the 600 block of Carnegie Street.  The suspect is known according to the report.

*3:45pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of Slayden Street.  According to the report, the complainant reported that a female subject and her ex-husband were having a verbal argument.

*8:41pm-Brownwood Police responded to the report of a weapons offense in the 1300 block of Brooks Avenue.  According to the report, information was obtained that a male subject arrived at the location with a firearm and threatened an occupant of the residence.  The subject, identified as 39-year-old Theodore  Wooten of Morgan Mill, was located and arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Larry Wayne Durham Jr. for evading arrest with previous conviction and a warrant for theft.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
