FoodDriveCompetition

Llano and Brownwood schools are holding a light hearted competition to raise food items, specifically rice & beans for their local food banks.

Llano will be collecting rice and Brownwood will be collecting beans.  The winner will be the school that collects the most food measured in total pounds as noted on the front of products packaging.  All proceeds will be split between the two schools’ communities.  Brownwood will donate their collected food products to the Good Samaritan Ministries and Llano will donate theirs to the Llano Food pantry.

This competition runs for two weeks and will conclude at the friendship exchange between the two school’s Student Councils before the Llano v. Brownwood game on November 9 – the last game of the regular season.  The game will begin at 7:30pm at Gordon Wood Stadium.

Donations may be dropped off at the front office of Brownwood High School.  The BHS Student Council thanks participants for their support of the council and for supporting Good Samaritan Ministries food bank with an important staple!
