“Taking Steps to End Child Abuse” Walk to be Held November 10th

BrownCoChildWelfareBenefitWalk2012The “Taking Steps to End Child Abuse” walk is being held at Riverside Park at 9:00am on November 10th. Registration, warm up and kick off of the event begins at 8:00am.

The “Taking Steps to End Child Abuse” walk is being held to raise funds that will benefit the Brown County Child Welfare Board.  The child welfare board’s motto is “Touching the lives of abused and neglected children in Brown County.”

Before the walk, Minerva McCutchen will lead participants in a Zumba warm up then the walking will begin after a short welcome presentation.  The path around Riverside Park is 1 mile.  Walkers can continue to walk a further distance if they choose.

Registration is $10 for children 4-10 and $15 for adults.  Walkers preregistered by October 26th will receive a t-shirt.

The child welfare board is located at 2400 Crocket Drive in Brownwood.  For more information, please call Kitty Cavanaugh at 325.642.1271 or email [email protected].

For registration form, Click Here.  Registration forms may be returned to by mail to the Child Welfare Board @ 2400 Crockett Dr in Brownwood, TX 76801 or return to any participating Board member.

The walker’s signature –or the signature of a qualified parent or legal guardian for walkers less than 18 years old– is required.
